Baseball Recap: Sam Rayburn Comes Up Short

Sam Rayburn lost to Whitewright back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rebels lost 10-4 to the Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Rebels have lost by exactly six runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Sam Rayburn and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for Whitewright, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Sam Rayburn will head out on the road to square off against Dodd City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitewright, they will take on Honey Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
