Alvirne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 11-6 to the Portsmouth Clippers. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Broncos' highest-scoring game to date.

Alvirne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Portsmouth, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alvirne is set to challenge their familiar foe Nashua North at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Portsmouth will face off against rival Concord at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
