Volleyball Recap: Ridgeland Falls Despite Big Games from Jordin Duran and Kaselynn Careathers + How To Watch

Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Northwest Whitfield Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on September 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-20.

Kaselynn Careathers and Jordin Duran certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Careathers had nine digs, while Duran had nine digs and one assist.

Northwest Whitfield was led to victory by Paola Cuna and Addison Manis. Cuna had seven digs and three aces, while Manis had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Cuna has posted since back in August.

Ridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Northwest Whitfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season.

Ridgeland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Dalton Academy on the 25th. As for Northwest Whitfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on the 25th.
