Softball Game Preview: St. Ansgar Saints vs. Central Springs Panthers

St. Ansgar is 1-9 against Central Springs since June of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Saints are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Central Springs took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Ansgar, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, St. Ansgar beat Garner-Hayfield/Ventura 9-4. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Central Springs' offense. They came up short against Hempstead on Saturday, falling 10-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central Springs' loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for St. Ansgar, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

St. Ansgar couldn't quite finish off Central Springs in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 5-3. Can the Saints avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
