Volleyball Recap: Pike Victorious

The Pike Red Devils were able to grind out a solid win over the Bloomington South Panthers on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Pike was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 16-25, 25-17.

Firroune Ouangueye paced Pike's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ouangueye got some help from PP Moo and his 24 assists. Moo was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Pike's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Bloomington South, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Pike will head out to challenge Decatur Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bloomington South, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Terre Haute North Vigo at 6:00 p.m.
