Softball Preview: Bayard Tigers vs. Chase County Longhorns        
        
		
             The Bayard Tigers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Chase County Longhorns  on Saturday. Bayard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6  runs per game  this season.
 Bayard will bounce into Saturday's   contest after  beating Hershey, who they hadn't topped in eight consecutive meetings. Bayard came out on top in a nail-biter against Hershey  on Tuesday, sneaking past  6-5.
  Jenna Flores was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Shayleigh West, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Chase County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their 47th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They came up short against  Hershey, falling  21-0.
 Bayard has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 9-10-1 record  this season. As for Chase County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-18.
 Everything went Bayard's way against Chase County in their previous matchup  last Tuesday, as Bayard made off with  a  10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bayard since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
