Baseball Game Preview: Seward Bluejays vs. Raymond Central Mustangs

The Seward Bluejays will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Raymond Central Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Seward came up short against Norris on Monday, falling 15-5.

Connor Sveeggen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brycen Burt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Raymond Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 13-1 to Lincoln Lutheran on Monday.

Raymond Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Den Hartog, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Seward beat Raymond Central 15-12 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Seward repeat their success, or does Raymond Central has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
