After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jacksonville, Beardstown was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lutheran Crusaders a 5-0 shutout. Beardstown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by three goals or more this season.

Beardstown's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four contests. As for Lutheran, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 10-3-1 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beardstown will square off against Peoria Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lutheran, they will face off against Riverton/Tri-City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
