Glenmora and Grace Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Glenmora has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with eight straight defeats, while Grace Christian will come in with eight straight victories.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Glenmora and Oak Hill had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wildcats lost 11-1 to the Rams on Tuesday.

Avery Fuller made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Grace Christian made easy work of Vidalia on Tuesday and carried off a 15-1 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Sydney Avery, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Rory Decker was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Grace Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vidalia only posted an OBP of .300.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Glenmora, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Glenmora hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .334. However, it's not like Grace Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .361. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Glenmora might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Grace Christian in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
