Basketball Game Preview: Academia Avance Guerreros Jaguares vs. Alliance Bloomfield Bulls

Academia Avance and Alliance Bloomfield are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2021, but not for long. The Academia Avance Guerreros Jaguares will challenge the Alliance Bloomfield Bulls at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Academia Avance came up short against East College Prep and fell 69-58. The Guerreros Jaguares have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Alliance Bloomfield had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They really took it to CALS Early College for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-21 win. The Bulls' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Alliance Bloomfield's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Academia Avance, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Academia Avance was able to grind out a solid win over Alliance Bloomfield when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 36-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Academia Avance since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
