Basketball Recap: Hancock Takes a Loss

Hancock lost against Northern Garrett back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hancock Panthers were outmatched by the Northern Garrett Huskies and fell 82-44. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Anderson, who posted six points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Anderson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Kerns, who scored 12 points.

Hancock now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Northern Garrett, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Hancock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-50 loss against Union on the 31st. Northern Garrett has also already played their next contest (against East Hardy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
