Elmwood-Murdock took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 30-16 win over the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 38-6 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Elmwood-Murdock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Marsh led the charge by rushing for 193 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Dashiell Coleman, who rushed for 51 yards and one TD.

Coming up, Elmwood-Murdock is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Lourdes Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they will welcome Sacred Heart on Friday.
