Elmwood-Murdock gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took down the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles 30-16. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 38-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Elmwood-Murdock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brody Marsh, who rushed for 193 yards and one TD. The team also got some help courtesy of Dashiell Coleman, who rushed for 51 yards and one score.

Elmwood-Murdock didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-38 loss against Lourdes Central Catholic on the 5th. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 40-18 win against Sacred Heart on the 5th.
