Softball Recap: Holtville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Holtville and Beauregard squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Holtville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 1-0. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Trinity Stroud was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

Holtville's loss dropped their record down to 23-17-1. As for Beauregard, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-12.

Holtville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-6 victory against Elmore County on the 6th. As for Beauregard, they have also already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Brewbaker Tech on the 6th.
