Soccer Game Preview: Jefferson vs. Andress

The Jefferson Silver Foxes will head out to challenge the Andress Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Andress took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Jefferson, who comes in off a win.

Jefferson will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Canutillo, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Jefferson came out on top against Canutillo by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Silver Foxes as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Andress managed to keep up with Chapin until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Andress came up short against Chapin, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Huskies are ranked 162nd).

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Andress, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Jefferson might still be hurting after the 8-3 defeat they got from Andress when the teams last played back in February. Can Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
