Baseball Game Preview: Millbrook Blazers vs. Pine Plains Bombers

Millbrook hasn't had much luck against Pine Plains recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blazers will welcome the Bombers at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Millbrook didn't have quite enough to beat Webutuck and fell 9-8.

Meanwhile, Pine Plains came up short against Red Hook on Friday, falling 11-3. The loss continues a trend for the Bombers in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

Pine Plains saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Mielich, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Owen Zengen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pine Plains now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Millbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Millbrook beat Pine Plains 7-3 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Blazers repeat their success, or do the Bombers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
