Soccer Recap: Lincoln North Star Comes Up Short

Lincoln North Star was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Norfolk Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lincoln North Star of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Lincoln North Star's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Norfolk, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lincoln North Star is set to face off against their familiar foe Omaha South at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Norfolk will challenge rival Grand Island at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
