Basketball Recap: Maplesville Beats Ellwood Christian for Their Third Straight Victory

Maplesville put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Ellwood Christian Eagles 67-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Maplesville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ty Bailey, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Those 16 points gave Bailey a new career-high. Nehemiah Mccary was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Maplesville's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ellwood Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maplesville will be home for the holidays to greet Breakthrough Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ellwood Christian, they will host Keith at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
