Preview: Christian Ministries Academy Conquerors vs. Abundant Life Owls
The Christian Ministries Academy Conquerors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Abundant Life Owls at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Christian Ministries Academy will be strutting in after a win while Abundant Life will be coming in after a defeat.
Christian Ministries Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-10 win over Columbia Christian. The victory was just what Christian Ministries Academy needed coming off of a 61-26 defeat in their prior matchup.
Christian Ministries Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Faith Grim, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Madison Garner, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Abundant Life's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 70-32 defeat at the hands of Bismarck. While losing is never fun, Abundant Life can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Bismarck is ranked 132nd).
The losses dropped Christian Ministries Academy to 6-5 and Columbia Christian to 2-9.
Christian Ministries Academy took their win against Abundant Life in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 44-18. Will Christian Ministries Academy repeat their success, or does Abundant Life have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
