Basketball Recap: La Monte Takes a Loss

La Monte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 58-38 to the Otterville Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 62-50 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

La Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Otterville, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

La Monte will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cole Camp at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Otterville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-35 defeat against Kingsville on the 29th.
