Softball Recap: Ridgeline Comes Up Short

Ridgeline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Catholic Raiders.

Ridgeline saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Hess, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Jerzee Jensen also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Even though they lost, Ridgeline hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive games.

Ridgeline's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Ridgeline will challenge Sky View at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Catholic, they will take on Sierra at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
