Basketball Recap: Jonathan Peery Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Apex Friendship

There's no place like home for Cary, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They snuck past the Apex Friendship Patriots with a 67-63 victory on Friday. This was payback for the Imps, who suffered a 59-44 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cary's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Peery, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 15 points. Stone Holcombe was another key player, putting up 15 points and six boards.

Cary's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8. As for Apex Friendship, they moved to 11-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
