Softball Recap: Polo Takes a Loss

Polo fell victim to Morrison and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 16-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Marcos in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Polo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leah Tobin, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Tobin's first of the season.

Polo's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Morrison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Polo will square off against Milledgeville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morrison, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Galena at 4:30 p.m.
