Soccer Recap: Ambridge Comes Up Short

Ambridge fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Quaker Valley on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Quakers by a score of 2-1. Ambridge haven't had much luck with Quaker Valley recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Ambridge's goal came courtesy of Kate McPherson, who's now up to two this season.

Ambridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Quaker Valley, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Ambridge is taking a road trip to challenge Mohawk Area at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Quaker Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Avonworth at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
