Volleyball Recap: Milpitas Beats Burlingame for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Milpitas had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Burlingame Panthers. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.

Julia Grigorescu paced Milpitas' offense, picking up ten kills. Grigorescu got some help from Varadha Biju and her 13 assists. Finally, Natasha Lacuzong kept Milpitas' defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Milpitas' victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Burlingame, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.

Milpitas has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lincoln on the 11th. As for Burlingame, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against the Lions on the 11th.
