Baseball Game Preview: Pascagoula Panthers vs. George County Rebels

For the second straight game, Pascagoula will face off against George County. The Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Rebels at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pascagoula is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Pascagoula came up short against George County and fell 8-5.

For George County's part, Chandler Cameron looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cameron has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cayler Havard, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Blane Green also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

George County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Pascagoula, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.
