Baseball Recap: Lake Stevens Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Lake Stevens won the last time they faced Glacier Peak and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 9-3 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Luke Morris looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aspen Alexander, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Blake Moser was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Lake Stevens pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glacier Peak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Lake Stevens will venture away from home to challenge Bothell at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glacier Peak, they will host Meadowdale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
