Soccer Recap: Hemet Comes Up Short

Hemet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arlington Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 on January 9th.

Hemet's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Arlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-1-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hemet has already played their next matchup (against Citrus Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Arlington will host Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poly's last eight contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
