Football Recap: Plattsmouth Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Plattsmouth can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 48-0 loss at the hands of the Bennington Badgers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.

Ty Bouaphakeo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bennington, throwing for 231 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 43 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Bouaphakeo a new career-high. Bennington's leading receiver Jake Russell was Bouaphakeo's top target yet again, picking up 129 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Plattsmouth's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Bennington, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Plattsmouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bennington, they will face off against Elkhorn North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Bouaphakeo and Ethan Beachy.
