Basketball Recap: Northside L Beats Columbus Homeschool for Their Third Straight Victory

Northside L waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 70-58 victory over the Columbus HomeSchool Hawks. That's the fifth time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-41 last Friday.

Northside L's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was ISAAC ADCOCK, who went 6 for 9 en route to 21 points and five assists. ADCOCK is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was CAMERON BRUNK, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points and seven assists.

ADCOCK wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Northside L was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Columbus HomeSchool only racked up three assists.

When it comes to explaining why Columbus HomeSchool lost, don't look at Kaden Greenlee. Despite the final result, he went 10 for 25 en route to 37 points. That was a full 63.8% of Columbus HomeSchool's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Carter, who put up six points and three blocks.

Northside L now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Columbus HomeSchool, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 20-12 record.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Northside L Lions take on the North Putnam Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Northside L's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Columbus HomeSchool, they will face off against Phalen Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Phalen Leadership Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Columbus HomeSchool surely won't give up without a fight.
