Basketball Recap: Harding University's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Harding University can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Chambers Cougars by the margin of a single free throw, 40-39. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Cougars back in January, they had to take a 76-21 defeat.

Harding University's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-10. As for Chambers, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harding University will host Mallard Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mallard Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.1 points per game this season. Chambers has already played their next game (against Hopewell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
