Preview: Tantasqua Regional Warriors vs. Millbury Woolies
Tantasqua Regional is 8-2 against Millbury since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Tantasqua Regional Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Millbury Woolies at 6:30 p.m.
Last Friday, Tantasqua Regional came up short against Doherty Memorial and fell 59-50.
Even though Millbury has not done well against Northbridge recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Millbury blew past Northbridge 63-31 on the road. With Millbury ahead 40-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Kenny Donnelly was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 25 points. Jimmer Donnelly was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Tantasqua Regional now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Millbury, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Tantasqua Regional took a serious blow against Millbury in their previous matchup back in January, falling 63-35. Thankfully for Tantasqua Regional, Lucas Friedman (who scored 15 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
