Riverside-Brookfield was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Reavis on Saturday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Rams. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Riverside-Brookfield is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Reavis, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-13.

Looking ahead, Riverside-Brookfield will square off against Elmwood Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Reavis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Argo at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
