Graden Pontius Turns in Season-Best Effort

South Callaway was led to victory by Graden Pontius, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Pontius rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 40 yards and a touchdown.

The victory (which was South Callaway's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Pontius and South Callaway will head out to face off against Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Van-Far pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Douglas and Van-Far will challenge North Callaway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Dayton Humphreys Delivers Best Performance of Season

Sadly, Dayton Humphreys posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Wright City over Van-Far on Friday. Humphreys rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 54 yards.

Wright City's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. Humphreys and Wright City will square off against Montgomery County on Friday.

Collin Moore Has Career-Day on Friday

Collin Moore posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made three total tackles.
