Softball Recap: Glencoe Comes Up Short

Glencoe fell victim to Fort Payne and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Yellowjackets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Glencoe has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. Fort Payne is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Glencoe and Fort Payne will both be playing Alexandria the next time they take the field. Glencoe will head out to face Alexandria at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Fort Payne will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
