Baseball Recap: Lewis County Comes Up Short

Lewis County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the Keyser Golden Tornado.

Lewis County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Moats, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Lewis County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Keyser, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-18-1.

Lewis County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Keyser, they will venture away from home to take on Robert C. Byrd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Tornado's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
