Volleyball Recap: Salisbury Comes Up Short

Salisbury lost against West Rowan back in October of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets came up short against the Falcons, falling 3-0. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-14, 25-7.

Leading West Rowan to victory were Ava Baxter and Brinley Hiatt. Baxter had eight aces and seven digs, while Hiatt had four digs and two aces. Those eight aces gave Baxter a new career-high.

Salisbury's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for West Rowan, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Salisbury will face off against rival Northwest Cabarrus at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Rowan is set to square off against their familiar foe East Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
