Baseball Recap: West Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when West duked it out with West Jordan on Wednesday. The Panthers lost 18-5 to the Jaguars. The Panthers have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

West saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph 'JJ' Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Taplin Everette, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

West's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for West Jordan, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

While West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
