Baseball Recap: Sublette Comes Up Short

Sublette couldn't beat Bucklin on Monday even though they stacked six runs on them in the second inning. The Larks came up short against the Red Aces, falling 23-8. The Larks have struggled against the Red Aces recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Axton Zanghi made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Those RBI were his first of the season.

Sublette's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Bucklin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Sublette will be playing at home against Colby on Friday. As for Bucklin, they will take on Stanton County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Aces' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
