Baseball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

Wagner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Boerne-Champion Chargers, falling 14-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on Tuesday.

Wagner saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Self, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Wagner's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Boerne-Champion, they pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wagner is set to challenge their familiar foe Boerne at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Boerne-Champion will take on rival Tivy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
