Basketball Preview: Lake View Wild Gators vs. Lamar Silver Foxes
The Lake View Wild Gators will be playing at home against the Lamar Silver Foxes at 8:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lake View waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 51-25 margin over Green Sea Floyds.
Meanwhile, Lamar beat the Vikings 49-40 on Friday.
Xavier "Zoom" Jackson had a dynamite game for Lamar, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten steals. Another player making a difference was NyShaun "Shaun" Quillen, who scored 11 points.
Lake View's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Lamar, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-14.
Lake View came up short against the Silver Foxes in their previous matchup back in January, falling 67-55. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Jackson, who scored 16 points along with five steals.
