Soccer Recap: Tocoi Creek Takes a Loss

Tocoi Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Creekside Knights. While losing is never fun, the Toros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Knights are ranked ninth).

Alejandro Zamudio and Jacob Jakstis scored both of Tocoi Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Tocoi Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Creekside, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-1-2 record this season.

Tocoi Creek will be playing at home against ED White at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. ED White's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Creekside, they will challenge Bartram Trail at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekside is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
