Volleyball Recap: West Craven Turns Things Around After Road Loss + How To Watch

There's no place like home for West Craven, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the East Carteret Mariners on Wednesday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mariners, too.

West Craven walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-11, 22-25, 25-21, 25-19.

East Carteret's loss came despite strong showings from Kolby Piner and Grayson Gillikin. Piner had four digs and two aces, while Gillikin had nine digs. Piner is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

West Craven's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for East Carteret, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, West Craven will face off against North Pitt at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. East Carteret will be paying especially close attention to West Craven's matchup: after West Craven faces off against New Bern, they'll take on East Carteret again at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
