Baseball Recap: Jackson Prep Patriots vs. Cathedral Green Wave
Jackson Prep posted their closest win since February 12th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Cathedral Green Wave 4-2. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Green Wave recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jackson Prep got a great performance from Kain Sandridge as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over 5.2 innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Sandridge a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Jackson Prep let Wade Smith and Kam Roberts run wild. Smith went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Roberts went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits Roberts has posted since back in February. Mason McCain also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
The win got Jackson Prep back to even at 13-13. As for Cathedral, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Coming up, Jackson Prep will challenge Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cathedral does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
