Basketball Game Preview: Hermiston Bulldogs vs. Chiawana Riverhawks

Hermiston hasn't had much luck against Chiawana recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Hermiston Bulldogs just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Chiawana Riverhawks at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Hermiston is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Pasco: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Hermiston blew Pasco out of the water with an 86-57 final score. With Hermiston ahead 45-25 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Chiawana put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Walla Walla by a score of 71-59. The Riverhawks pushed the score to 58-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Devils cut but never quite recovered from.

The win (which was alsoHermiston's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Chiawana, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Hermiston strolled past Chiawana in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 74-55. Does Hermiston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chiawana turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
