Coronado got themselves on the board against Socorro on Friday, but Socorro never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The win continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Trey Bombach's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaleb Guerrero, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Walt Mann, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Socorro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13-2 record this season.

Coronado will have a chance to go back-to-back against Socorro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
