Baseball Game Preview: Northeast Guilford Rams vs. Atkins Camels

The Northeast Guilford Rams will square off against the Atkins Camels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northeast Guilford has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with five straight defeats, while Atkins will come in with three straight wins.

Northeast Guilford fell victim to Rockingham County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Cougars.

Northeast Guilford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caiden McNeil, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Atkins put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand High Point Central a 15-0 shutout.

Nik Nelson was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Northeast Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Atkins, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.
