Volleyball Game Preview: Lompoc Braves vs. Pioneer Valley Panthers

For the first time this season, Lompoc will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After both having extra time off, they and the Pioneer Valley Panthers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lompoc is coming into the match on a 12-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Lompoc lost 3-0 to Valley Christian Academy last Friday.

Lompoc may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Meanwhile, Pioneer Valley suffered their biggest defeat since March 11th on Tuesday. They came up short against Nipomo, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-21.

Lompoc will have to contain Yahir Lopez as he made an impact in Pioneer Valley's last game. He had 13 digs. That's the most digs Lopez has posted over his last 11 contests. Sehidd Uribe also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Pioneer Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Lompoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
