The Snow Canyon Warriors will face off against the Bear River Bears at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Snow Canyon 3.5, Bear River 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Trey Vaughn made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Trent Chris looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
Back at the plate, Dewy Gibb was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Snow Canyon hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Bear River entered their tilt with Provo on Friday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 13-12 W against the Bulldogs. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bears, who until this matchup were averaging 3.96 runs allowed.
Bear River got a massive performance out of Broxton Gardner, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Holden Potter was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Bear River's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Snow Canyon, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Snow Canyon has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Bear River struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Snow Canyon skirted past Bear River 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
