Basketball Game Preview: South Lamar Stallions vs. Hamilton Aggies

South Lamar is 0-3 against Hamilton since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The South Lamar Stallions will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Hamilton Aggies at 10:00 a.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Saturday, South Lamar came up short against Winfield and fell 52-43. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Pirates are ranked 134th).

Meanwhile, Hamilton also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Northside by a score of 54-43.

Hamilton's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-5. As for South Lamar, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
